ROLE: SET DESIGNER - CEE POD, CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
“CEE POD” is a recreational use drop pod that Cee’s father Damon has rented for their mineral harvesting trip, though it was designed for weekend trips with a partner, or a family vacation.
A little bit like taking an old Winnibago™ on an overlanding expedition.
I referenced the cramped, functional interiors of solo trans oceanic sailing expeditions and cheap finishes in old motorhomes.
I designed the set in CAD, featuring functional storage compartments, engine bay, “folding” sleeping cots, practical lighting, removable panels for filming and a domed roof with skylights.
Wherever possible, I used plywood or other materials that we could cut with our shop’s CNC router.
